Can I fix a job after it has been approved?

We’ve all had that moment when you’ve ticked all the boxes and pressed SEND on a job only to realise afterwards that there was an error!

Annoying.

If this has happened to you as a graduate employer / recruiter when posting jobs to the universities via CareerHub Central, then there are three ways you can correct a job with an error:

  1. You can close the job and repost it with correct details, however you will incur another $180 job posting fee
  2. You can contact each uni to which the job has been posted and ask them to update / change the details. The list of unis is on our website at https://www.careerhub.com.au/institutions and you click View Publish Details to check which unis were selected within the details of the job

Please note that the options, above, only apply to jobs that have been approved by the universities and, therefore, posted to their job boards.

There is an exception.

If you have pressed PUBLISH on a job, and realise immediately afterwards that an error might be present, call us immediately on 1300 852 112 to see if we can catch the job in time, before it is approved by the universities.

The best rule of thumb is to check and double check your work.

If you’re ever unsure, just call our Employer Support team on 1300 852 112.

Addendum (June 2016)

If an advertiser manages the change request process as per Option #2 above, then you can obviously target your request to certain institutions. (CareerHub Support technical support cannot assist by singling out, targeting nor excluding individual unis if requested by an advertiser.)

As long as your job was posted through CareerHub Central, you can log in to check the progress of any changes and follow up the uni careers services by logging in and clicking View Publish Details as the relationship is between the employer (advertiser) and the each uni. CareerHub Central is merely a job distribution gateway, therefore the uni careers staff will seek to liaise with the employer, not CareerHub Central, should any queries arise with respect to a change request.

To follow up the unis either by email or phone, visit our website for all the contact details https://www.careerhub.com.au/institutions. You can also use these listings to communicate with the unis should further issues arise at your end. CareerHub Central does not offer functionality to distribute general communications on behalf of employers or recruiters (advertisers).

CareerHub Central, created CareerHub, operates as a gateway with each participating university’s CareerHub software to take the hassle out of individually contacting multiple universities about your vacancies. When you register on the CareerHub Central website, the system will distribute your contact details, jobs and profile directly into the CareerHub databases within each participating university. There are over 2.5 million students registered in CareerHub databases in over 35 Australian universities. Students using CareerHub click on over 8 million jobs viewed per year. https://www.careerhub.com.au/Content/HowItWorks.aspx
